The oil cap does not clear a factory top-mount intercooler with the plastic shroud fitted. Clearance is too tight. It suits an aftermarket front-mount setup, or a top mount with the shroud removed. If you are running a top mount with the shroud on, message us or leave a note in the cart before you order: we may be able to swap in an N80 style cap that will fit.

Parts can vary from the photos. HPD updates the pieces aesthetically from time to time, so a part may not look identical to the images. The battery clamp in particular comes in more than one version: depending on which one you receive, minor modification or drilling may be needed to fit it.

• Eight anodised colours. Black, blue, red, purple, gold, green, silver and pink.

• Anodising is a finish, not paint. It is corrosion-resistant and it survives heat cycling and washdowns.

• Mock each part up before you tighten anything. Sit it in place, check the fit, then commit.
• Hardware finger-tight first, then torque evenly. Tension the battery bracket evenly rather than pulling one side down hard.
• Tools: basic hand tools, 8 mm to 12 mm sockets and spanners. A new battery clamp may require drilling.
• Thread locker. Low or medium strength where it suits. Not everywhere.
• Finish with a microfiber wipe. Keep harsh chemicals off anodised surfaces: a gentle cleaner and a microfiber cloth is all it needs to stay looking new.

The EGR delete plates in this kit are for off-road and competition use only. Fitting EGR delete plates to a vehicle used on public roads may not comply with the emissions regulations in your state or territory. It is your responsibility to check and comply with local laws before installation. If that does not suit your vehicle, the rest of the kit still bolts on: just leave the plates in the box.

The EGR also has to be disabled in the ECU if you fit the plates, otherwise you will get fault codes. Budget for that when you budget for the kit.

This is a cosmetic package. If you are chasing power, spend the money on a turbo, injectors or a tune first and dress the bay later.

Q: Does the kit fit all 1KD Hilux models?
