This is the windscreen washer filler, not the coolant filler. The store title shortens it to "water filler", which catches people out. It has nothing to do with the radiator, the coolant bottle or the cooling system. If you are after the coolant bottle, that is a different part.

You will need a funnel to fill the washer bottle from here on. It fills extremely slowly compared to the OEM filler. That is the trade-off for the clearance, and it is worth knowing before you buy rather than after.

• Remove the OEM filler neck and keep the fasteners where they can be reused.
• Mount the HPD hardware to suit your layout, then close the bonnet and check it clears.
• Reconnect the washer hose and top the bottle up with a funnel.
• Check hose routing and bonnet clearance before you do the final tighten.
• Tools: basic hand tools, pliers, screwdrivers and 8 to 10 mm sockets, plus a funnel for refilling.

Q: Do I need this if I am not fitting a front mount intercooler?

A: No. Without a FMIC it is purely a tidy-up. Plenty of people fit it for that reason, but be clear that is what you are paying for.

Q: How do I fill the washer bottle afterwards?

A: With a funnel, slowly. It is noticeably slower than the factory filler.

Q: Will it fit an N80?

A: No. This kit is for the N70 1KD-FTV only.
