• Replaces the plastic factory cover with cast aluminium. Aluminium resists the thermal cracking that kills old plastic covers.
• OEM-style fitment. Correct gasket and bolt pattern, so it goes on where the factory cover came off.
• Thai-performance look. Imported from HPD in Thailand, and it pairs with the rest of the HPD dress-up range.
• No power claim. A rocker cover does not change how the engine breathes. If you want power, spend the money on a turbo or nozzles instead.

• Toyota Hilux N70. 1KD-FTV, 2005 to 2015.
• Toyota LandCruiser Prado 120. 1KD-FTV, 2003 to 2009.
• Toyota LandCruiser Prado 150. 1KD-FTV, 2009 to 2015.
• Toyota Hiace 1KD. Fits the engine, but check ancillary clearance in the Hiace bay before you commit.

Direct fit to 1KD-FTV platforms. Check your gasket style and your breather routing before you start, because those are the two things that differ across the range.

• One HPD 1KD alloy rocker cover. That is the lot.

Not included: rocker cover gasket, injector pipe seals, bolt and washer set, oil cap, breather adapter and timing cover. Order what you need at the same time so the car is not in pieces waiting on a seal kit.

• Oil cap. The factory cap looks out of place on an alloy cover. Use the HPD Billet Oil Cap, sold separately.
• Breather adapter. The HPD 10AN Breather Adapter tidies up the PCV and catch can plumbing, sold separately.
• Bolt and washer set. Available in burnt blue, stainless or gold: titanium burnt blue, stainless or gold.
• Seals. A fresh rocker cover seal kit and the injector pipe seals for alloy covers.

• Use a new gasket and new injector pipe seals. Reusing old ones is how you end up doing the job twice.
• Do not chase a torque figure. There is no published spec for this cover. Nip the bolts up evenly by feel and stop. Aluminium and over-enthusiastic rattle guns do not mix.
• Route the PCV and breather properly. Fit the 10AN adapter if your setup needs it.
• Recheck after the first heat cycle. Look around the whole perimeter for any oil seepage and inspect the grommets and seals while you are there.

Look after the paint. The finish is durable but it is oil-based. Keep oil and heavy degreasers off it, because they will damage it. Paint damage from chemical exposure is not covered under warranty.

Q: Will this fit any 1KD Hilux, Prado or Hiace?

A: It is made for the 1KD-FTV, so the engine side is covered. On a Hiace, check the clearance around the ancillaries first, and on any of them make sure you are using the correct gasket type.

Q: Do I need a new gasket?

A: Yes, do it properly. Replace the rocker cover gasket and inspect the grommets and seals at the same time, or you will chase oil seepage afterwards.

Q: Does it come with an oil cap or a breather adapter?

A: No. Both are sold separately and both are linked above.

Q: Is alloy actually better than the plastic cover?

A: For thermal cracking, yes. The plastic covers go brittle with age and heat. Aluminium does not, and the finish looks better.

Q: What is the lead time if it is out of stock?

A: Usually 1 to 3 weeks to dispatch. Ask us before ordering if you have a date to hit.

Q: Will it make more power?

A: No. It is a cover. Anyone telling you different is selling you something.
