• The EGR must be disabled in the ECU. Without the tune you will throw fault codes. Use a reputable diesel tuner who knows the 1GD-FTV, and budget for the tune when you budget for the plates.
• It is a direct bolt-on replacement for the EGR cooler. An experienced DIYer can do it, or have your mechanic fit it while the car is in for a service.
• Expect some discolouration. Hard anodising is durable and heat resistant, but in an engine bay some plates will discolour where they sit against hot flanges. That is normal, and the finish stays protective and functional.

This is emissions hardware. Removing or disabling it is for off-road and competition use where permitted, and it is generally not legal on a road-registered vehicle in Australia. Q: Will this fit my N80 Hilux?

A: Yes, if it is a 2015 onwards N80 with the 1GD-FTV 2.8L. Send us your VIN or rego if you want it confirmed.

Q: What colours can I get?

A: Eight anodised colours: black, blue, light blue, orange, purple, silver, red and green. Availability moves around with each batch, so contact us to confirm your colour is in stock.

Q: Is it hard to install?

A: No. It is a direct bolt-on replacement for the EGR cooler. An experienced DIYer will manage it, or have your mechanic do it during a service.

Q: Do I need ECU tuning?

A: Yes. The EGR has to be disabled in the ECU or you will get fault codes. Use a tuner familiar with the 1GD-FTV.
