The Flex 44mm VNT turbo is a true bolt-on upgrade for Toyota's 1KD-FTV 3.0L D-4D engine fitted to the Hilux N70 (KUN26, 2005β2015), Prado KDJ120 (2003β2009), and Prado KDJ150 (2009β2015). Built around a 44mm billet compressor wheel in factory variable-nozzle housing geometry, it gives you more airflow, faster spool, and harder boost - while keeping your OEM exhaust, intercooler piping, and oil/coolant lines exactly where they are. Q: What injectors do I need?
A: Stock injectors are fine up to ~200 RWHP. Above that you'll see smoke and rising EGTs - go to MCR +30 Injectors / Nozzles for ~220β260 RWHP, or MCR +50 nozzles for 260+ RWHP.
Q: Will it work on my auto?
A: Yes - fits manual and auto 1KDs equally. With auto trans builds we recommend an upgraded transmission cooler if you're towing or running over 250 RWHP regularly.
Q: Can I run it without changing the exhaust?
A: It will physically work on the factory 2.5" exhaust, but you'll see significant backpressure above 25 psi. We strongly recommend a 3" turbo-back to fully unlock the turbo.
